Victorian Week

This week, the older pupils have been very busy with their “Great Exhibition” and Victorian Day. After being set their Victorian homework project, they displayed and shared their wonderful projects including projects about the first steam trains, schools, punishments and important figures. All of the projects showed creativity and a lot of hard work.

On Friday we enjoyed being Victorian School children (and teachers!) Firstly, we had a class inspection and I am sorry to say that the children were filthy and unkempt. During the morning, we used dip pens and chalk boards to do our Victorian style lessons of Reading Writing and Arithmetic – the three R’s. Sadly, several children had to wear the dunce hat for their endeavours. In the afternoon, the children had yard time and a needlework lesson.
