Pupils were transported back in time to experience what life was like in the past. They entered the Stone Age camp and enjoyed building shelters, foraging for food, learning how to use a bow and arrow as well as striking flints to make fire.
Afternoon activities, such as shaping clay pots, churning butter. grinding wheat and making flatbread gave an insight into life in the Iron Age. Our pupils entered fully into the spirit of the historical adventure, coping well with the very wet conditions. The Museum staff praised the children for their behaviour and they were a credit to Curzon.
Going to COAM was so fun. We got to do many different activities. We loved doing all of them but most of all I loved trying to make fire. Thank you so much COAM. We had an amazing day- can’t wait to come back.
