Curzonfest
Wow! What a fantastic day we all had getting together to raise funds for our new ICT equipment.
The sun shone brightly and everyone came and had a good time.
Teachers got splatted, faces got painted, food and drink was consumed and we hopefully raised a fantastic amount for the school, details of which will be announced as soon as the final figures are available.
An especially huge thank you to the merry band of helpers (you know who you are) who helped set up the event and take it all down again at the end, you were amazing!
More thanks must go to all the stall volunteers, members of Holy Trinity Church and to governors and staff members who helped on the day.
Hopefully we should have some photos to follow soon.
See you next year.

Fete Creche Facility – message from Emma Chandler
As you may have heard this year at the school fete there will be a crèche available to drop your little ones off at while you go and enjoy (and help out!).
What will be happening?
I will be running the crèche alongside my mum, Val the Jo Jingles lady!) and my dad Graeme (the one who entertains all the children I nanny for, even at his expense!). We will be caring for the little ones in the year 6 classroom providing lots of fun and stimulating activities for children aged 1 to 5 years to keep them nice and busy! We will have toys, games, books, crafts and some music available for the children to take part in. The crèche will work in hourly slots of 12pm to 1pm, 1pm to 2pm, 2pm to 3pm and will cost £5 per child per hour.
To put your minds at ease…..
All three of us hold an up to date DBS check and I hold a current First Aid certificate. I have a BA Hons degree in Early Years and Val has teaching practice and years (too many to count) of Jo Jingles behind her also. Graeme has 30 years of dealing with myself and my siblings plus all the little ones I care for…..he’s good for the job!!
What do you need to do?
If you are interested and would like to make use of the crèche, please fill in the details below and return as soon as possible either to myself in the playground (ask around, most people know me!!) or send the details to Emmachandler905@aol.com.
Limited spaces available due to keeping within Ofsted ratio!!
Name of parent: Name of child: Age of Child: Preferred hour slot: Allergies: Any additional information: Cash/Bank transfer
Silent Auction – What is it?
This is where you can bid on your children having the chance to win an experience offered by the staff and parents of Curzon school. The staff have some brilliant prizes lined up, such as the opportunity to be head teacher for the day, go on a picnic, do cooking, decorate cakes and all sorts of wonderful things!
To view the wonderful prizes on offer and place bids, please follow this link
All online bidding will close at 5pm on Friday the 22nd of June. Further bids will be taken at the Fete until 2.40pm with announcements of the lucky winners on the day.
It is not to late to offer a prize for the silent auction. Previous parents have offered building, ironing and gardening services, as well as tea parties, beautiful photographs, bunches of flowers and other fabulous prizes and experiences. If you could offer a silent auction prize or would like to know more then please email carolineoden@gmail.com or grab Caroline in the playground.
Donations
As ever, we really still need the following donations:
Small party bag fillers
Prizes for the raffle or silent auction
Second hand books and DVDs
Chocolate and sweets to be used as prizes
Homemade cakes can be donated on Friday 22nd June or on the morning of the fete on 23rd June. Please label any cakes with nuts. This year the local Church will be running the plant stall with all proceeds going to fix the church roof. If you have any plants you would like to donate then please bring these in on 22nd
June or on the morning of the fete.

What is Bottle Mufti?
On Friday 22nd June, we ask all children to bring in a bottle of something. The collection takes place in the hall before school. It doesn’t have to be alcohol but soft drinks, bath foam etc. The more bottles we get, the more money we can raise. In return, the children can wear their own clothes to school on the Friday before the fete. All bottles are then used to create a much loved bottle tombola run by the teachers.
What are fete tokens, the fete house cup and how can I win them?
